Nestled in a green setting, next to the Sauldre canal, the castle of Blancafort welcome you in the heart of a XVth century stronghold house.

The castle of scents

This XVth century pink bricks stronghold, overhanging the Sauldre river and surrounded by a parkland and a French garden, is nestled in a green setting next to the Sauldre canal.

The Boucart family had it built during the XVth century on the spot of a XIth century previous estate. It was then upgraded during the XVIIth century by the Faucon family. While visiting, you’ll be able to admire the beautifully arranged pink bricks walls, and to stroll across the French garden and also to contemplate some XVIIth and XVIIIth century furniture and tapestries.

The main attraction to this castle is definitely the dungeon : it has got wide openings and a polychromed setting. The entrance gate, neogothic style, seems to date back to the XVIth century.

You’ll be welcome to this homely country private property which is still inhabited and whose surroundings are especially appropriate for film makings or special events.
